Acorn Montessori School
Acorn Montessori understands and serves the needs of the “whole child.” Acorn’s approach of linking outstanding educational methods with models for a cooperative respectful way of life is an important element of education. Each classroom represents a structured miniature learning society where the values of harmony, respect, independence, learning, and unity are given the opportunity to blossom and grow.
The Montessori Method fosters a deep appreciation for knowledge, learning, and humanity.
Acorn Montessori Charter School is an A-rated, state-approved Charter School serving students kindergarten through eighth grade. As a Montessori/Traditional blended program, we are able to meet students where they are a rigorous curriculum, hands-on materials, differentiated instruction, and a community-style setting where students feel inspired to learn and find joy in success. Acorn Montessori Charter School participates in the School Breakfast and National School Lunch Programs that offer a nutritious breakfast and healthy lunch daily to all students. Breakfast and lunch is now free of charge to all students.

Principal’s Message
Dear Acorn Families,
Welcome Acorn Montessori Schools! I would like to extend a warm welcome to our new students and families joining Acorn this year and welcome back all of our returning families as well. My name is Kendal Healey, but feel free to call me Mrs. Kendal. It is truly my honor and privilege to begin my fourth year as principal for Acorn Montessori Schools. For the twenty years, I have been able to witness the growth and beauty of a school that so wholeheartedly embraces a vision of education that puts children first, always. It is my belief that every student holds in them the power to be successful, to learn, and to find joy in the process of learning. Through hands-on instruction, differentiated lessons, teaching to the whole child, and the support of diverse and varying learning styles, Acorn students find success and can build on that success throughout their academic careers and beyond.
My goal is that students will exceed not only academically, but also socially and emotionally. In Acorn, students and their families will find a safe, compassionate, rigorous, and fun classroom and school environment where they can learn and thrive as they navigate through each grade level. Communication is the key to our student’s success and continued growth so please be sure to communicate often with teachers and staff, and we will do the same, in order to build a strong foundation of support for all of our Acorn students. I am looking forward to the upcoming school year, to creating connections with our students and families, and to supporting the school program to achieve and exceed academic goals and achievement.
Wishing you the best year ahead,
Mrs. Kendal Healey – Principal
